Taylor's Priorities for Belmont

Schools

Schools were the reason I first got into Belmont politics. As a father of three, I want to make sure kids like mine get a good education in a thriving community. I support the School Committee in their efforts to make Belmont Public Schools among the best in the State.

Commercial Zoning

Towns with functioning finances and well-funded services share one thing in common: they have a lot of commercial real estate.

Town Finances

I will begin every town conversation with "What is the best use of our limited town dollars?"

Belmont's Comprehensive Plan

Highly functional Towns tend to share one thing in common: they have a 10-year Comprehensive Plan.

Seniors

Seniors are an integral part of the fabric of our community, and I want my kids to live in a place with diversity across life stages.

Housing

Whether you own or rent, housing is likely the #1 expense in your family budget, and the top driver of our community's cost-of-living crisis.

Community Path

I support the Belmont Community Path. It would be wonderful to be able to not have to leave Belmont to get on a bike path, and an improvement to our business centers to have pedestrian access from neighboring towns.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

I support the implementation of the Diversity Task Force recommendations. Our community thrives when it is welcoming to all.

ENVIRONMENT & ENERGY

As an avid outdoorsman, I care deeply about the environment.
